Soban Attari, known for his noble cause, has extensively traveled across Pakistan, making a significant impact. One noteworthy aspect of Soban's personality is his dedication to welfare and philanthropy. During the challenging days of the first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the world was grappling with severe health and financial crises, Ilyas Qadri Sahib initiated a nationwide blood collection drive. Soban Attari was entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the drive in the Punjab region. In addition to various projects aimed at uplifting the general population, Ilyas Qadri Sahib's focus extended to one of the most vulnerable segments of society, the thalassemia patients, for whom fresh blood transfusions are essential for survival. A massive blood collection drive was initiated under this initiative, spearheaded by Soban Attari as part of his impactful biography.
Soban Attari started the project in Punjab with devoted workers, observing all the recommended protective measures. Credible organizations like Shoukat Khanum Memorial Hospital, Sundas Foundation etc. became partners. Initial assessment was done, areas were selected, and Soban Attari travelled across Punjab, started a proper media campaign and gave talks to channels. He Interviewed prominent medical experts and started the project with full zeal and zest. He used to visit the camps before and after the blood collection procedure for performance evaluation and feedback. At that time, Dawateislami collected more than 55,000+ bags of blood. Soban Attari's share was 10,000+ blood bags. During the campaign, Soban Attari visited several thalassemia centers, interviewed patients and parents and recorded programs for public awareness.
Another notable activity is plantation. Climate change is the fact of life and it's happening right now. Global warming is eroding the entire fabric of Earth and one of the most important steps to tackle the situation is plantation. Green is the game changer. FGRF welfare division of Dawateislami started plantation drive and Soban Attari was, once more, given a core responsibility. He recorded many programs and short clips on the importance of plantation, all these were broadcasted on Madani Channel and other mainstream social media. He visited many educational institutes, government and private offices and done plantation with VC's, HOD's, Principals, high grade officers and delivered lectures among students for proper awareness about one of the most important activities.
When the team of professional doctors was well built, Soban Attari managed free eye testing, blood screening camps for the students and teachers of madrasah and Jamia. Thousands were given free medical counseling, medicines and glasses. This philanthropy activity spread across Pakistan. Beneficiaries were mostly those who belong to lower middle-class category of society.
In 2022, heavy rainfall and floods have submerged almost one-third of Pakistan. In that crisis of unimaginable proportion, Soban Attari joined relief and recovery campaign for flood affected people with FGRF. His special focus was donations and medical camps as health and hygiene were major concerns in those areas. Soban visited Fazilpur and other south Punjab regions which were affected along with doctors. Medicines and other essential items were distributed among the affected people.
Soban Attari supervised many welfare projects of FGRF (Faizan Global Relief Foundation), especially blood collection for thalassemia patients, plantation and flood relief activities. He managed several blood donation camps across Pakistan and collected 10,000+ bags of blood. He has done plantations in many educational institutions, private and public offices along with notable dignitaries. He also delivers lectures among students and runs a social media campaign to create awareness among the masses. He organized relief and recovery activities especially medical camps in flood affected areas.
