About the Session
The seminar set out to familiarise students with the intellectual and scientific contributions of Muslim scholars who founded many branches of science, a subject closely tied to Soban Attari’s long-running “Islam & Science” programme.
He urged students to pursue creativity and innovation in their academic journey, and to seek guidance from the Holy Quran as a source of knowledge and truth, some of which modern science has discovered only recently.
Reported in Pakistan Today, he told students that “the Holy Quran is a book of guidance and wisdom” and that “there is no contradiction between Islam and science,” adding that the Holy Prophet ﷺ called on the Ummah to seek knowledge and discover new scientific truths.
